How to maintain a car?
Whenever you have bought a new car you would drive it to limits, sooner of later you would have piled up loads of dust on your car. Well how do you get it cleaned and running fast again? In this post we would show you one of the easiest techniques to clean your car, your car would be running like a charm under 10 minutes!

Well here are the tools, or should I say the best friends a Slot Car will ever need?
1. Tooth Brush (Clean the chassis)
2. Lighter Fluid (Clean the tyres)
3. Grease (For the gears)
4. Lubricating Oil (For the brass bearings)
5.Super Glue(To glue certain areas of the car)
Yes these five tools will be your Slot Car Best Friends Forever, so lets start with the tooth brush. Simply start by unscrewing the chassis with a simple screw driver, after which arrange the screws, in the same order as the Chassis.
By doing so you will not mess up the arrangement of your screws, After which start brushing the body or chassis with the brush. Here are some images of how much difference you can get from an item you use daily.

So what about the chassis?
Allright moving on, let us now focus our attention to the rear axle of the Ascari A10. Sometimes your rear axle could pop out when you are driving on your track, how do we stop the issue? A simple and cheap method is to apply super glue to prevent the car brass bearings from popping out,
After applying it on the chassis, your chassis and bearings will be stiffen to prevent it from popping out. You could also use it on your motor mount.
Next is the bearing, by using the lubricating oil apply two small drops on the brass bearings. DO NOT APPLY ON PLASTIC BEARINGS as they will corrode, for plastic use grease. Apply in the direction shown in the picture; this will result in a quieter and smoother ride for the cars.
Now lets see about the gears, if you are experiencing noisy gears just use grease to the car. After applying it on the gears, rotate the gears this will let the grease spread around the cars.
A gentle reminder do no use too much grease on the gears, when you apply the grease your cars will become much more quieter and smoother when you drive it.
Now for the final step to get a grip monster car is to clean your tyres, how do you clean it? Use water, that is clearly not the method to ever try! Instead use a lighter fluid, there are a few brands out there get which one appeals to you best. So take a thin cloth or some tissue apply the lighter fluid on the tissue and clean the tyres, this will make the tyres sticky and softer resulting in much more grip.
Well you can start screwing your car back now, you should have a much more fun to drive and faster car now. Get back on the track now and start racing!
